About Ms. Kim

Ms. Kim is the daughter of Mexican migrant parents who grew up in an agricultural town in Ventura County. After graduating high school, she was accepted to the University of Southern California (USC) and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Ms. Kim then went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Counseling with Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential and Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology at San Diego State University (SDSU). She has experience working in several schools in North County San Diego, including Oceanside, Vista and San Marcos. Her upbringing and childhood experiences as a second language learner shaped her desire to become an educator and advocate for culturally and linguistically diverse students and families. She strives to be a resource to everyone she works with to support student’s learning and success at school, social-emotional skills and mental well-being. Ms. Kim is proud to work at Darnall Charter School and serve its wonderful students and families as well as it’s dedicated staff. Go Dolphins!
