Mrs. White-Steele

Welcome students and parents to Room 12! I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade for the third year in a row at Darnall.

I am from Orange County and moved down to San Diego right after graduating high school in 2003 to attend my dream school: San Diego State University. I originally started out as a geology major but knew something was missing- I wanted to share my passion for learning with others. Becoming a teacher was the perfect solution! I have been working at Darnall since 2009 and have served in many roles- substitute, intervention teacher, and 7th/8th grade science teacher. I have to admit though, that 2nd grade is by far my favorite grade to teach!

In my free time I enjoy going to the beach and swimming, going to concerts, traveling and cooking.

My educational pathway:
Valencia Elementary School (Laguna Hills, CA) K-6
Los Alisos Intermediate School (Mission Viejo, CA) 7-8
El Toro High School (Lake Forest, CA) 9-12
San Diego State University
- BA Liberal Studies
- Multiple Subject Teaching Credential / Specialization in Science
