Biography

I am a native San Diegan; however, I haven’t lived here my whole life. I have lived in Oxnard, California, Scotland, and Florida. I have been truly blessed to have lived abroad. I currently reside in Murrieta with my family.

This is my second career. Before I became a teacher, I worked as an outreach coordinator and program director in the non-profit arena for over 10 years. During this time, I oversaw programs and created educational and preventive programs for high-risk pregnant women, foster youth, and other at-risk populations.

My oldest son is the person who inspired me to make a career change. I was originally working on my Master's in Business when I changed over to the School of Education at National University. I graduated in 2011 with my Master's in Special Education, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and Education Specialist Credential (specializing in mild to moderate disabilities).

As a teacher, I love what I do. My life's mission is to encourage, support, and empower children, youth, and adults to be their best (and succeed) in life.
