Biography

I started teaching here at Darnall in 2005, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I intentionally moved from teaching grammar and writing at the community college level to teaching elementary school so that I could make a difference to children at a younger age. I have a BA in Geography, an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language, a BCLAD multiple subject teaching credential, and a GATE certificate. In addition to my work experience, I bring a wide range of personal experiences which include living overseas and raising my own children. In our room we have a "Bring it on" attitude. There are small groups for differentiated reading, language, and math support as well as individualized online learning plans. I expect all of my students to make at least one year's growth. We can do it!
